K's Choice

When i was in 4th year high school (1999-2000) i was introduce to the band "K's Choice -Cocoon Crash" at first i was skeptic about the band and their kind of music, but when the tape (yes it was a tape that time) played, almost all of their song was very relaxing, songs like "Winners", "20,000 seconds", "If You're Not Scared" and "Quiet Little Place" caught my attention. Here are some videos of the band. Hope you like it.

OPM 1: Hale

Let's start of with one of my favorite Alternative OPM band which is Hale. Band members are: Champ Lui PioRoll Martinez, Sheldon Gellada, and Paolo Santiago, all from different schools liked De La Salle University (Benilde), UST and TUP. The band started at mid 2004.
2005 Hale released their self-titled album "Hale", has 12 tracks and 5 major hit songs namely "Broken Sonnet", "The Day You Say Goodnight", "Blue Sky", "Kahit Pa" and "Kung Wala Ka".

2005 Hale was proclaimed as MTV Philippines best new artist, also their song " The Day You Say Goodnight" won the song of the year at RX 93.1 year end countdown.
But due to consecutive flops of their recent albums: Above, and Beyond (2008) , Kundiman (2009), Hale decided to call it quits, the band broke up last 2010 and their lead vocalist decided to go solo on music making and also as an actor. Champ's decision to disband Hale was allegedly kept from his band-mates, who were not given prior notice and only learned of the break-up after his public announcement.
Even though Hale is gone, they left us with songs that we can listen and reflect to, one of the former band in which every Filipino can be proud of. Hats of to you guys!
